2009, You’re Fizzling: Tumblr
One day, a girl by the name of J-Swizzle met a friend named Tumblr. In a matter of months, being around Tumblr became J-Swizzle’s top priority. She felt like her life would be incomplete unless Tumblr was in it. She had so much to say to Tumblr, it was like a never-ending supply of candy canes on Christmas. Ah, forget it. Third person isn’t working for me.
In June or July of 2009, I made my Tumblr. For the first few weeks, my blog posts were bland, tasteless. But, when school started, all the problems came pouring in. Thus, I started to blog more and more. Shockingly, people began to “like” my posts. I’ve never really felt the need to impress people with my writing, but once I got all of those likes I had a sense of…well basically, I said to myself, “Wow, people actually like this? The stuff I write is actually entertaining?” So, thank you Tumblrs. You’ve given me a reason to smile, and I hope I’ve given you a reason to smile also.
And, for the record…
You are also in first place, Paul Castillo.
Apparently, if you “like” reblogs of your own posts, it counts as liking yourself. So, I’m in second place. Thank you Tumblr for making me look self-centered.
More reminiscent posts coming your way, Tumblrs!
