Although a friend is constantly there for you when you need someone to talk to or someone to listen, it doesn’t mean they deserve to be loved by you. A friend is proven a friend when they are there for you after you feel better. What I am trying to say is, and I hope you understand, that you shouldn’t love me. You shouldn’t depend on me. You shouldn’t just give me your everything without me trying to earn it. I don’t want to frighten you because it seems like I am pushing you away. But I want something more beyond me just simply being there for you. I want to earn every secret, every detail, every story, every feeling/opinion/thought. I want to earn this friendship by trying instead of being available. You deserve to be tried for. Sweet girl. Just wait. You’ll see.
